In 2015, our CEO Tom, moved to Chiang Rai with his good friend Jack, to help set-up Elephant Valley Thailand, an ambitious eco-tourism project with a hyper-ethical elephant sanctuary and tour company.
While Jack focused on building the best, and most natural environment possible for the gentle giants, Tom was responsible for finding the funds to make Jack’s dreams a reality.
In 2019, Elephant Valley Thailand had more than 10,000 paying visitors with a combination of direct bookings, local partners, and international organizations all playing a crucial part of their success.
Heartbreakingly, due to COVID-19 and the halt of international travel, they had to permanently close in 2020, although are still number one on TripAdvisor today.
